Marie-Agnès Gillot is a fascinating star with an exceptional presence on stage. Throughout her career at the Paris Opéra, she has embodied excellence and a true state of grace. This great artist also moved thousands of ballet enthusiasts thanks to her collaboration with the most talented choreographers, from Angelin Preljocaj to Pina Bausch.
In the arena of Nîmes, Koto Bolofo, a South African photographer known for his black and white images with exceptional power, caught the rare intensity and the extraordinary charisma of this unique dancer. In honour of the one who has always lit the Paris Opéra with her very special aura, these magnificent images are today at the heart of an exhibition at the Studio des Acacias. “Marie-Agnès dances what she is: Earth, Wind and Fire”, says Koto Bolofo about this wonderful ballerina.
